When I decided to make some positive healthy changes for my family, I knew adding essential oils to our lives was definitely on the list.
My main concern at the time was the green, y’all!! I wanted to save money – less doctor visits, fewer med purchases – I needed to get us healthy and keep us healthy. There are SIX people in this house that’s a lot of germs to spread around.
There were SOOOOOOO many companies to choose from though and essential oils available from online to my local Wal-Mart. I knew I wanted to choose the very best oils if I was really going to get serious about doing “health-care” instead of “sick-care” for my family.
That’s what it’s really all about, isn’t it?
Taking control of your health and making better choices to AVOID sickness when you can and REDUCE the effects and length of sickness when you can’t.
I’m more of a shoot first, ask questions later kind of person and I had a ton of friends using Young Living so without much thought, I just decided to give them a try. Now, after using them for almost 2 years, I have learned so much, and I have decided that luckily, I made the right choice for my family. If I had to go back and choose all over, I would pick Young Living again.
Let me share my reasoning with you…
1. The Seed to Seal Guarantee
Many essential oil companies outsource their farming to other companies, but Young Living owns their own farms all over the world. They are in control of their product from the moment that seed is chosen and goes in the ground until the label is placed on the bottle and shipped to my home. I know their quality control is top-notch because they have no one to blame for mistakes. There’s no scapegoat for poor quality when you own your own farms.
If the whole point is to make healthier choices for my family, then I want to know for sure that what I’m putting on and in my body and the bodies of my family is 100% pure. With complete purity comes a cost. But, I’m a stay at home mom and my husband is a public school teacher – we are broke as a joke most of the time. We have to balance cost with effectiveness.
After researching, I found that the quality and cost of Young Living’s essential oils are the best value. While other brands sell less expensive oils, along with that cheaper price comes – frankly – a cheaper oil. Additives and fillers are included to compensate for lesser quality. You end up using more of it because it’s not as effective – so whatever you’ve saved in initial cost is lost because you have to use more of it.
ALSO – and this is a big also -only Young Living brand essential oils have been approved by the FDA for internal consumption (see their new Vitality line). So for me, the best bang for my buck is going to be the Young Living brand.
“Having only one option, is not an option.” I don’t know who said that, but I totally agree.
Young Living has one of the widest ranges of products available. If I want to replace products I use on a daily basis such as shampoo, hand soap, laundry detergent, tooth paste, deodorant, household cleaners, vitamins, etc. I don’t have to spend hours on the internet searching through the catalogs of different companies.
Aint nobody got time for that!
Young Living has had the years of experience and taken the time to create products I feel safe letting my family use on and in their bodies.
Young Living offers 87 single oils and 85 Blends plus all their health, home and beauty products.
When it comes to my health – I’m not all about the latest and greatest. My body is not a smart phone. I’d rather place my trust in something that’s been around a while.
D. Gary Young founded the company Young Living in 1994, over 20 years ago. It has since been hugely successful and one of the earliest essential oil companies on the market. Experience speaks to me and knowing that they’ve had the time to grow, learn, and improve over two decades makes me confident in my choice.
Anyone, customer or not, can visit the Young Living farms. There’s no secrets or hiding anything with this company, they are and have been transparent. They are quick to address concerns with their clients and make changes when necessary.
6. Help along the way
I knew ZILCH about essential oils when I jumped in. I was afraid that I would get my starter kit and it would sit on the shelf unused like so many other things I’ve bought with good intentions in the past. However, thanks to some really motivated people and sheer luck I got in with the Lemon Droppers. The LD’s are a group of Young Living members – just like me – who wanted to learn more, grow more, and really get the most out of our investment. We aren’t a bunch of rich people who can just throw money down the drain.
We are stay at home moms, and working moms, new moms and grandma’s, college grads and high school students; we are just like you. The one thing we all have in common is we want to do better for our family.
If I’m going to spend my hard-earned cash on something, I want to make sure I can and will use it. That’s just what I’ve been able to do – I got plugged in and got support with all my questions, concerns, and discoveries. When anyone becomes a member with a Lemon Dropper as their sponsor, they are in for a treat. I am SOOO thankful to have the resources and learning opportunities that are available to me.
From free online educational classes, to members only Facebook discussion groups, to personal one on one mentoring, I have made some huge positive changes in our family’s wellness over the past year.
So for me – Young Living was the best choice. If you’re considering making some changes in your lifestyle, my suggestion is to do your research. Ask questions and when you know better – do better. Feel free to email me (email@example.com) any questions and I’m happy to share my experience with Young Living.
